Invisalign clear braces in Peterborough

A groundbreaking brace that perfects smiles with previously unseen levels of discretion, comfort and convenience.

Invisalign teeth straightening

Invisalign is a groundbreaking brace that perfects smiles with previously unseen levels of discretion, comfort and convenience. Instead of fixed brackets and wires, treatment uses a series of removable, transparent aligners made specifically for your teeth.

How Invisalign works

You are given a series of custom clear aligners, each worn for around two weeks before you move on to the next in the series. The aligners place pressure on your teeth at specific places, which gently moves them further and further into the right position.

They need to be worn 20 to 22 hours a day, and are taken out for eating, drinking anything other than water, and cleaning your teeth. You will come in for short appointments so we can check progress is on track.

What Invisalign can treat

  • Crowded and crooked teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Overbite — where the upper teeth overlap the lower teeth excessively
  • Underbite — where the lower teeth protrude past the front teeth
  • Open bite — where the upper and lower teeth do not meet
  • Crossbite — where the upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth

Why patients choose it

  • Nearly imperceptible in normal conversation
  • Over four million smiles straightened in fifteen years

  • Custom-fitted, so more comfortable than fixed appliances
  • Efficient appointments, with no wires to adjust
  • Digital planning lets you preview how your teeth will move before you commit

Straightening and whitening together

Many patients follow Invisalign with Enlighten whitening — straight teeth first, shade second. Your aligners also make excellent whitening trays in some cases. Ask us at your consultation.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Invisalign take?

It depends on how far the teeth need to move — commonly several months to around a year and a half. You will be given an estimate at your consultation, based on your digital treatment plan.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Each new aligner feels tight for a day or two as it starts to move the teeth. Most people describe it as pressure rather than pain.

Can people tell I am wearing them?

The aligners are transparent and close-fitting, so in normal conversation they are very hard to notice — which is the main reason adults choose them.

How much is Invisalign in Peterborough?

Invisalign is quoted per case, because the number of aligners varies. Book a consultation on 01733 230066 and you will be given a fully costed plan.
